First Year: Six-week placement in a dentist office.

Second Year: 16-week internship placement in a dental office or facility.
Icerman Dental Clinic: Second-year students work alongside a local dentist to provide dental services to MCS students.

What will I be learning in this college/career pathway?
  • You will practice taking oral x-rays and four-handed dental procedures in the MACC dental operatory on a regular basis, and you will learn dental terminology, infection control, oral anatomy, and dental charting procedures.
  • You will participate in the operation of the Icerman Dental Clinic by assisting a local dentist in the MACC dental operatory while he or she works on real patients.
  • Upon meeting the eligibility requirements, you will be placed in a six-week internship in a dentist's office.
