||MACC Preschool: Students operate the MACC preschool three days each week.
First Year: Students participate in a six-week educational internship.
Second year: Eligible seniors participate in a semester long internship.
What will I be learning in this college/career pathway?
- You will prepare lessons and lead activities for preschool-age children in the MACC preschool program.
- You will learn how to plan and guide developmentally appropriate activities/lessons for young children and practices of guidance and discipline, application of basic health and safety principles when working with children,over view of management and operation of licensed child care facilities, and Indiana state child care regulations and licensing requirements.
- This course provides the foundation knowledge and skill requirements for the CDA (Child Development Associate) credential for entering a Community College program after graduating from high school.
